Tread: Castable polyurethane elastomer from a dedicated compound, hardness 95±3 Shore A, with a dissipative antistatic design and surface resistance ≤10⁸ Ω, so static charge is released at a controlled rate instead of accumulating and discharging as a surge current. Centrifugal vacuum degassing and a low-wear compound reduce the generation of wear debris and therefore particulate contamination. Low noise, non-marking and non-staining, with high bond strength to the wheel core.

Wheel Hub: 6061-T6 aluminium alloy, whose low density helps reduce the rotational inertia of the wheel body and lowers the drive load during OHT start and stop; the surface is anodised to form a dense oxide film that provides corrosion and wear resistance. The natural finish carries no added colouring and does not affect assembly dimensional accuracy.

Other Characteristics: Key dimensions (outer diameter, runout, concentricity) are measured on a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and traceable by batch. Wheels are ultrasonically cleaned and delivered in vacuum packaging, ready to be put on line. Resistant to a range of corrosive media; operating temperature -30°C to +70°C (short term +90°C).
